Handle the start of term without weeks of account work

Hundreds of student and staff changes land at the same time every term. Adcyma creates, updates, and closes accounts automatically in Microsoft Entra ID and on-prem Active Directory.

What this looks like day to day

Education runs on a calendar that concentrates a year of account work into a few weeks. New students, new staff, class changes, and leavers all arrive at once, and the IT team handling it is usually small.

Substitutes need working access on their first morning, not after a ticket queue. And accounts for students and staff who left have a way of staying open long after anyone remembers why they exist.

  • Term start means hundreds of account changes in a week or two
  • Substitute teachers wait for access while classes are already running
  • Leavers' accounts stay open because nobody owns closing them
  • On-prem Active Directory is still the backbone, so cloud-only tools don't cover it

How Adcyma solves this

Adcyma turns your student and staff data into correct accounts across Microsoft Entra ID and on-prem Active Directory, on the calendar's schedule instead of the ticket queue's.

Lifecycle management

Accounts follow your student and staff data. Start dates create access, class changes update it, and end dates close it, without tickets.

Hybrid AD and Entra ID

Schools often run on-prem Active Directory with Entra ID on top. Adcyma applies the same rules to both.

How hybrid support works

Fast access for substitutes

Substitutes and temporary staff can get time-limited access through approval workflows instead of waiting on the helpdesk.

How you get there

1

Connect your directories

Connect Microsoft Entra ID and on-prem Active Directory. Adcyma reads in users, groups, and structure.

2

Connect the student registry

Point Adcyma at your student and staff data, or manage people directly in the Adcyma portal. Source data, not tickets, becomes the basis for accounts.

3

Define access per school and role

Decide what a student, a teacher, and a substitute get. Templates make it the same every time.

4

Let term start run itself

New students and staff get accounts on their start date, class changes update groups, and leavers close on schedule.

Common questions

Can Adcyma create accounts from our student registry or HR system?

Yes. Adcyma provisions accounts from your source data, so a new student or hire in the registry becomes a correct account in Entra ID and on-prem AD automatically.

What happens to accounts when a student or teacher leaves?

End dates disable access automatically. You decide the sequence, such as disable at once, keep the mailbox for a period, then remove.

We are two people in IT. Is this realistic for us?

That is the size of team Adcyma is built for. Setup takes days and there is no consultant project, so the time you save at term start stays saved.

Does it handle mid-term changes like class moves?

Yes. When the source data changes, group memberships and access change with it.
